DIY EASY UPCYCLING | Decoupage

Decoupage (from the French word découper, meaning to cut out) is the art of decorating an object by gluing colored paper cutouts onto it.

Anything can be decoupaged making it one of the easiest upcycling methods.

Take these cans of nuts, for example:

Bada bing bada boom! It's that simple.

One of the smaller cans I had done a while ago, now it has friends. For these containers all I did was use Paper Mod Podge and scrapbooking paper I had. You could also use fabric or super upcycle and use candy wrappers or something of the like.

Even decoupaging larger objects such as furniture can be easy.

Take this bed side dresser I upcycled last summer...

Now it has maps allover and looks pretty neat. Sure this involved a little spray paint as well but my point is decoupaging is a perfectly simple way to upcycle.
